"In this current series Joe has returned to the interests and curiosities of his youth; bones, wings, religious icons and weapons. It's a little hard to tell from these preliminary images but these ornate candelabras actually have hot sculpted glass bones as their underlying structure. This work takes traditional techniques and ancient archetypes and beautifully combines them with a decidedly contemporary spirit and slightly macabre edge."

(Thanks, Greg!)
I don't like it.

It's going in a direction but it's not getting all the way there.

I don't care for them either, Lizzykewl, but you know...these would sell like hot cakes in Transylvania.

I am lusting after these pieces. My coworker Aaron managed to buy the vertebrae candelabra that I saw in the shop....and i am still a little bitter. I needed it to sit on my rather stuffy Steinway. I like how he takes a regular, almost pedestrian object and puts a discrete twist on it. You only know that they are a little unusual when you take a sec to study them.
