While we've sung the praises of all white items in the past, and white anything seems to be de rigueur for elegant simplicity. Still, we think a splash of color every now and then is totally called for.

And when it comes to color, we like to keep with the "classics": the primary colors. Red, blue and yellow get the attention they deserve with these three pieces...
Red - The Kvadrat Pillow, by Designer's Eye, seems to give Mondrian a little wink. Made of felted virgin wool, the Kvadrat is a great example of the wow factor simple lines can have.
Blue - The classic Aalto Vase (a.k.a. the Savoy) never goes out of style, and while this color is technically ultramarine, we think it does blue proud.
Yellow - The Curvee Shelf, by House Eclectic, appears to be following us as we find that we are spotting Curvees everywhere. This two-tiered beauty is available in a myriad of colors but we think it's truly best in yellow.
i've been seeing the curvee shelf everywhere too. who knew such a simple design would be so alluring? for what it's worth, i'm sure there will be a knock-off version of it soon somewere.

I'm so sad the curvee shelf is out of our newlywed/fresh-out-of-college budget!

Ditto to both. Seriously.
