The Silk Trading Co. has opened their first Chicago shop at 900 N. Michigan.
We would have told you that we've never seen their products, and we'd have been so wrong. On their website, the have a HUGE section of all the editorial (right, Domino, March 06, Messina curtains in Petite Blue, $350./panel) that their stuff appears in. Turns out we've been unknowingly checking out their product lines for quite a while now.
The two main options for buying drapes through The Silk Trading Co. are Drapery Out-of-a-Box and Drapery by Design. Pretty self-explanatory...
Drapery Out-of-a-Box is a pre-made line of drapery based on the best-selling custom designs. Priced by the panel, there is quite a large range of price points ($99. - 875) based on style, size and fabric choices.
Drapery by Design is a custom drapery program using Como Silk, allowing access to thousands of combinations and sizes. Choose header, trim, color, and size - the price will be calcutated and the drapes will then be custom made to your specifications.

There is a line of signature textiles available by the yard if you prefer, along with a free swatch service. Pillows ($29. - 85.), lampshades ($29. - 55.), coordinated interior paint, hardware and a selection of upholstered furniture round out the shop.
