CHI Good Questions: Coffee Table from Citi Commercial?

2008-05-07-coffeetable2.jpgErin sent us an email:

Hello! I am wondering if anyone knows where the coffee table in the new "citi cash returns card" commercial is from??? In the commercial the wife decides she needs to redecorate and brings in a new coffee table (it has wood legs and a white top) then she realizes its her husband that actually needs the makeover. I love the look of the table, but i don't know where its from.

Jump below for the commercial:

Can anyone ID the table for Erin? Please let her know in the comments....

Yes!!!!

I represent the carpenter for this table. It is made of walnut with a beautiful polished cement top. It is also available with an oval top. He does many other pieces as well.

This is one of those posts that reads like an ad...
I suppose the timing of the first response is just a coincidence?

hmmm, i agree that's a little suspicious....but even if it is a shady post, i admire the gall of the PR people behind it...gotta love someone who's going the extra mile to get their client's name out there.

I'll forgive since I *LOVE* the table. alas, when someone "represent(s) the carpenter," it's most definitely out of my price range :)

they can do custom (w/the rectangle top) but it's $2065 for the one in the pic on the silho site. maybe tracy can hook you up w/a better since you'd be sorta buying it direct. i believe you'd have to have it shipped from LA though. that's not always cheap.

Since we are all brilliant when it comes to designing on the cheap without sacrificing the design: those legs look awfully generic. And the top doesn't have to BE cement, it just has to LOOK like cement. Any takers to duplicate this table without compromising the rights of the original designer?

This table may be up your alley. It's basically the same lines as the one you have a crush on. It is a double-tiered glass and dark wood table rather than the one above, but you'll see the resemblance. It's on sale at ZGallerie. (Link is below). When I saw it, I remembered someone on Apartment Therapy wanted a table that looked like this. So I thought I would share with ya. I think you'll like the price of this one. Hope this helps! http://www.zgallerie.com/pc-1200-88-addison-coffee-table.aspx
