Josh is putting together a workspace. He writes, "I need a new desk for a small home office in my loft. I really like the Nelson Swag Leg Desk (shown above) and the Offi Wave desk (shown below) in Walnut. The desk will only need to hold a laptop and whatever I'm working on at the time.
Can anyone suggest a cabinet or credenza that would go well with either of these desks? I'm thinking of something that I can set a printer on top off with closed storage of cubbies to hold all of the paperwork and office accessories that I don't want out in the open."

I second Janel's pick- The Sussex in white and the Nelson Swag would look great together!

Luckily, vintage office furniture is usually fairly easy to find and affordable. I'd suggest a vintage Steelcase credenza in a cool color. I have a burnt orange metal one with walnut veneer top that would look great with the Nelson desk! I got it for $200 at a thrift store in Indianapolis. Even though it is heavy/hefty, it's one of my favorite pieces and I made sure to bring it to NYC with me.

I find myself frequently lusting after the Nelson swag desk.
If you want to save a little dough, this West Elm credenza might go well with the swag:

For some reason, I have also long been enamored of these West Elm acorn/white pieces, but again I don't own one. I second the idea of a the used business furniture store.

Ebay has 100's of beautiful vintage credenzas, most costing much less than new ones.

the copenhagen office cabinet or office armoire from room and board might fulfill both purposes.

Tailor made to go along with the ESU (Eames Storage Unit). Reproductions available through Modernica or Modern Wood Works.

My Nelson desk looks amazing next to a Blu Dot Modulicious lateral file (walnut / white drawers). (link here: http://www.designpublic.com/shop/blu-dot/7693). It holds a ton, fits a printer on top with plenty of room to spare, and looks modern without being too matchy. I searched for a long time before buying it, and I have to tell you--if you want a lateral file, this is the only way to go.
I previously purchased a refinished vintage file cabinet (sandblasted and painted with a white outer frame and colored drawers to match) and it just didn't work at all. It looked kitsch and like it was trying way too hard.

Thanks for the input! I actually ended up going with the Wave desk in walnut. The Blu Dot Modulicious was a great idea! I almost bought a mid-century credenza, but thought it would be too much "look". I went with the Modulicious 3. It has the four cubbies. I did the walnut frame and slate, red and two ivory door panels. It looks incredible with the desk! It's a beautiful piece of furniture and pictures online don't do it justice. I also got the 2 pack of Blu Dot "Wonder Wall" shelves. They look great above the desk. I'm loving the overall look of the room. It came out very sophisticated. Now I just have to wait for my "Flor" tiles to come in and my West Elm "T" desk chair.
