CHI Good Questions: Modern Blonde Wood Pedestal Table?

2008-02-28-brad.jpgJennifer is looking for suggestions: "I need help breaking out of my dark wood furniture habit! First up is a search for a modernish pedestal table in blonde wood about 36 inches in diameter. Any recommendations?"

Jennifer, one of our favorite modern pedestals (although a touch smaller at 30" in diameter) is the new Bradshaw Round Table. Available in maple, it is $699 at Room & Board.

Anyone have any other shopping suggestions for Jennifer? Let her know in the comments....

Maybe mixing woods isn't the way to go...maybe you need materials.

I think the BLUDOT sprout table is adorable

I like the BluDot table too...

Here's another option:

Or if you're on a tight budget, just get a Billsta table base from IKEA and slap a 36" diameter round top from Home Depot on it.

That Blu Dot table is a side table, at only 20" high.

As a side note, I wish the Saarinen tulip table came in a smaller diameter.

What's wrong with mixing wood? I think it is boring to have all your wood match.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am going to go check out the tables in person. The one I really want is the one below from Habitat in the UK but there doesn't seem to be an easy to buy stuff from there. Our place is Victorian and I like how this is a modern update on Victorian design. Does anyone know how it could be done? I am obsessed with their kitchen cabinents too. I really wish they had stores here.
