Emily sent us an email: Hi there. Love your work! Can you offer any insight as to where one could find the Mozart artwork featured in today's photo accompanying the Sun-Times bit? Thanks for your help! Emily
Emily, we sent off an email to Arthur, who is the owner of the loft pictured above, featured in this AT:Chicago house tour earlier this year. We'll add his response to this post when we hear back from him. He did list these two artwork sources in his tour questionnaire: Stango, in Philadelphia and Steve Kaufmann, in NYC.
In the meantime, we thought we'd throw out the question to the community, in case others know of a source for the piece...

Could it be a Warhol? There might be a poster of it available.

it does look like warhol. I couldn't find that, but art.com and allposters.com sell warhols "beethoven" poster, which is pretty similar in style.

It's from Steve Kaufman Art. They are oil and screenprint on canvas. They don't have that exact version anymore, but they do have two versions available. $3000 each or the pair for $5000.

I own a Steve Kaufman Warner Brothers "Marvin the Martin" deluxe (the one that has Marvin in four squares/different colors) sells online for $1050 here --http://www.artbrokerage.com/apricelists/kaufman2.htm - would be willing to part with for $750 if anyone is interested. It's really cute. I am in downtown Chicago.

Yeah and actually this apartment was on "So My House is Worth What" on HGTV. I was suprised to see it and suprised at what it was appraised for. Apparently he wants to sell it to upgrade to a larger space.

The Mozart is an original screenprint by Steve Kaufman. It was purchased in NYC a few years back but have seen them online. Below are two useful links.
