CHI Good Questions: Source for Pillows Like Rachel's?

rachelspillows071508.jpgKelle wants to know: Where can I find pillows like the ones in Rachel's Grad School Getaway living room? Her entry for the Small Cool Contest 2008 was my favorite. I love her style and the colors that she uses. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

We are thinking that at least one of them looks like vintage fabric, so perhaps these were made by Rachel...we agree that the colors and mix of styles is a great look. Sharp eyed shoppers, please let Kelle know where she might find similar pillows to the great ones featured in Rachel's contest entry in the comments below. Thanks!

A slightly related question: any good recommendations for where to buy feather pillow inserts? I've sewn lots of pillows with a basic polyfill inserts, but they tend to get packed down or lumpy and I'd love to upgrade them to feather so they hold their shape. But my local fabric store doesn't have the feather inserts, so I'm looking for another chain or a good online source.

IKEA has good, cheap feather insert in various different sizes. Also, Jo-Ann Fabric has them. Good luck.

Lurker2209, I just made a ton of pillows for my couch and could never find feather inserts at JoAnn.

My best finds came at TJ Maxx and Ross. They sell (mostly hideous) feather pillows for 7 or 8 bucks...cheaper than many inserts you'll find, and you can just remove the covers or stick the whole pillow in a new cover.

the pillows in the photo are from anthropologie, last summer season (former employee speaking, trust me on this one). but they always, and i mean always, have tons of fabulous pillows with great patterns and colors.
