Ideas for a Malm Makeover?
Good Questions

malm102909.jpgQ: I got the dark Malm dresser when I moved to Chicago for law school three years ago, and I just can't stand it but can't afford to replace it right now. It's too dark for my tiny bedroom. I'd like to paint it and possibly attach some drawer pulls to give it more character. I'm afraid to do so without confirmation from someone that's done it before that it won't destroy the dresser and make it look worse! Any ideas / direction to a website that has a good DIY project for the Malm dresser?

You can paint the malm by first using a good primer like
Zinsser Bull's Eye 123, which will allow the paint to adhere.
One coat and allow to dry thoroughly....now you are ready to either paint.
Here are some ideas for you, depending on your style and decor...you can use whatever colors or patterns you like.
They are not all the malm, but you can do anything like this with the malm as well.

For drawer pulls, go to your local Home Depot or Lowes and pick what you like.
