Good Questions: How's the Flip Flop from CB2?

103106FlipFlopFutonOrange.jpgDear AT,

Has anyone purchased the flip flop convertible sofa from CB2? Looks cool for only $999, but is it comfortable to sleep on?

Thanks!
Gal

I have this in grey. I bought the floor model so it was 30% off.. that might be one way to make it worth your while.
While I have never slept on it, we have had guests stay on it for as long as a week and they said it was comfortable. I can't imagine it's as comfortable as a real bed, but it's definitely much better than those hideous sofabeds. Also, I think one side (the "seat" side) is more comfortable than the other (the "lumbar" side).
The only downside is that you don't have any place to tuck in sheets, so you can put the fitted sheet on fine, but then the flat sheet just pretty much lays on top.
As I said - great for a guest room and it's REALLY easy to convert. Finally, there are no esposed wood pieces/arms like on many futons so it won't mark up your walls.

I saw a similar one at Urban Outfitters (click my name) and wondered the same thing. It's under $600, but would it be bearable for the occasional overnight guest?
