Good Questions: Items for the Perfect Bedroom?

bedroomq012809.jpgJaclyn sent us a photo and email: I found this picture from Schoos Design and the bedroom blows me away. Please help me use this as a template to create my perfect bedroom. Sources for furniture, rugs, and most especially mirrors and chandeliers would be so appreciated! Friendly price points are always a plus!!

Can anyone source any of the items for Jacyln's dream room or perhaps suggest similar items? Let her know in the comments...

Or, you could hire Schoos Design... or a local interior designer.

Although "duplicate this room" is not the most scintillating of creative briefs for a designer...

The Room and Board Orbiter lamp seems similar to the floor lamp in the far corner.

Oh, there is *way* too much going on in that bedroom

Love that rug!

My suggestion would be to search sites that specialize in individual aspects of this room: wallpaper, lighting, rugs, drapes, etc. You can usually narrow down by price range, then look for a style most similar to what you see in the photograph... or who knows, you may find something you like even more!

The "Porter" Pendant from Robert Abbey would be a great choice for the bedside here.

Whoa, those drum shades are massive.

I'm actually kind of digging the layered opulence look here (although I'm not sure the nightstands work in this space, and that settee in the corner needs to be banished immediately). And for the love of god and all that is holy, someone please source something like that bed.

I would say that bed, but the price tag would only break my heart.

While the initial question irked me at first for some reason, at the end of this long day, I am kinda diggin' the assignment... fly me to Chicago and let's talk about it. :)

Now, I like a well-lit room as much as the next fella, but every single object in this room appears either to have a spotlight trained on it or to light up itself. With some dimmers (and rather a lot more restraint), this could be a cozy and attractive room.

Ah, RalphEMole--

At least being irked is a progression from threatening to punch me in the face.
