"Has anyone ever used or seen the wall murals(shown, left) from Urban Outfitters ?
I love the "Morning Forest", although they have a lot of different scenes... Paris, Manhattan, Sunset. I want to put it on the wall behind our bed (I was going to do "Woods" wallapaper but it's quite expensive for just one wall) so I think this may look nice also.
It's hard to tell by a photo online though, if anyone has seen it what do you think? Thanks!"
Good Questions: Photo Murals
Tiffany, we haven't seen the Urban Outfitters photo murals in person, so we are hoping some readers can step up with an eyewitness review.
What we can offer is a peek at a bedroom where a photo mural was done really nicely. The photo below is from a NYC apartment entry in the 2006 Smallest Coolest Contest. Jane and Darko used their own hi-res photo of a forest and had it blown up by gallerystreet.com to create a one-of-a-kind wallpaper.
They used the photo mural paper to cover the fronts of basic IKEA wardrobes. The room looks amazing and the boring (but necessary) storage is effecively glammed up.

Anyone have any info on the Urban Outfitters murals or alternative sources for photo murals for Tiffany? Let us know in the comments...

I used to work for a company that offered murals, both stocked images and custom. MuralsYourWay.com. I think they may even provide the murals to companies like Urban Outfitters and Home Depot. At least they did many years ago.
Tiffany: I have the morning forest photomural wallpaper. Here are some pics from a year ago: http://la.apartmenttherapy.com/la/fall-colors-contest-west/ive-got-color-contest-enriques-orange-walled-bedroom-004364 (The room looks slightly different--some new furniture & accessories, bedding, etc, but you'll get a good idea of how the wallpaper works in the room through the pics.) I purchased mine through Home Depot for around $80. I really like it and thought it was a great option for the price. One thing though: the images don't perfectly align along the edges of each panel. Because of the very slight overlap in images in each panel, it's a bit of a challenge to match up each panel perfectly. Also, because I have 9.5' ceilings, the paper wasn't tall enough; so, I had to install a simple moulding along the top edge. Hope this helps.
Wow thanks! Enrique's room looks AMAZING! And the links on the AT:NY site are so helpful, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks AT, I'll post pics when it's finished (...along with the dining room, spare room, kitchen... will we ever finish??)
