Good Questions: Searching for this Area Rug

carpet022709.jpgKim is looking for some info: Could you please help me find this area rug? It appears on AT's House Tour: Karl's Mid Century Minneapolis Retreat. Karl stated that he purchased the rug at Home Depot...

I looked through all 2000+ rugs on Home Depot's website and could not find it. I thought maybe a reader would recognize it and could tell me the brand.

Can anyone help Kim out? Let us know in the comments...thanks!

Unfortunately, that rug is no longer at Home Depot. I used to work there a few years ago, and I was eyeing this rug, as well. I think it was around 2003 when I saw it. I can not remember who makes it, but I do remember the fiber content being 100% Olefin and coming in 3 differnet sizes. Sorry, I could not be much more help.

Look at RugsDirect.com I purchased a rug through them when Home Depot did not carry the one I wanted anymore. Good luck!

I bought the same rug in green and smaller at Kmart in 2003...not sure if Kmart would still have it, but you could check online.

I have this rug from Home Depot. Let me warn you it is not made of natural fibers and does not wear well. I purchased in 2004, and now it's matted, ugly and relegated to the basement.

I bought mine in 2004 and threw it out in 2005. Cheap olefin and looked it.

i have one I would freecycle you, if you live in chicago and want to come pick it up. The one i have came with the house i live in, and is about 7.5' square.

I bought a very similar rug from someone on Craig's List for $100; it's a smaller version and the primary tone is green rather than blue, and the circles have reds, pinks and blues.

I believe the rug was originally purchased for around $300 or $400 at Pier One.

i have to agree with some of the other posts... this rug does not look nice in person. it has a sheen to it that reveals the unnaturalness of the fiber. it is in my parents' basement now.

"100% Olefin" is generally not good news for indoor rugs.
