Good Questions: Similar Fabric Online?

redfabric081208.jpgCaryn is looking for some info: I've been searching for months now to find modern red fabric to reupholster one of our favorite chairs. I recently saw this image of a red chair in Real Simple magazine and love the fabric design. Anyone know where to go (hopefully online) to find some similar fabric ideas as this one?

We recognize the chair - we've seen it in Nicole and Brandon's Oak Park Bungalow tour . iIt's called Astrid and is from Anthropologie...but we haven't seen the fabric available for sale.

Please let Caryn know of any sources for similar, modern, upholstery fabrics online in the comments below - thanks!

It looks like a Marimekko and knowing Anthropologie, it's exclusive to them.

it is exclusive to anthropologie. they do not sell fabric whatsoever, but if you really enjoy the pattern and perhaps the chair itself they do have promotional upholstery events (25% off) for the months of april and september.

i work for anthropologie and i am happy to say that we just started selling fabric by the yard! i am not familiar with all the fabrics offered but do check it out. if you don't have luck online, call a store. they should know about it. hope that helps.

another nice pattern that's popular and about the same scale is
Imperial Trellis by KWID
this blog has a snap of it in red as wallpaper behind the author http://www.absolutelybeautifulthings.blogspot.com/
I think she also has some examples on her blog where she used the fabric on chairs.
Chloe Sevigny used the green wallpaper in her apartment, which is here on AT:
