Good Questions: What Design Shows Do You Watch?

Lori sent in a good question. She writes: I have hundreds of channels on the TV and am wondering if I'm missing some great design coverage. What shows do you regularly watch/record?

I read in Living Etc tmagazine hat they had a show at one time. Anyone seen that played in the states?

I watch Myles of Style, Divine Design, and Mission Organization. I hate to admit my new fav is Clean House. It's really motivated me to keep my clutter under control.

I don't watch design show but I will rent movies for a second time just to see Interiors. Recently saw Funny Face for the 6 or 7th time- love the interiors and fashion
I am don't typically like musicals but this I will put up with
because its marvelous!

Love love love Sarah Richardson! I've seen all eps of Room Service, and now watch Design Inc. Thanks for letting me know about her House and Cottage--gotta find those.

Curb Appeal (not always the execution, but the imagination)

Is Dress My Nest canceled? I've only seen reruns recently and I love Thom (been getting my fix with QE reruns on Fine Living channel).

I second the movie idea! How to steal a million with Audrey Hepburn had some cool regency style! Fred and Ginger movies are great too! Looks just like the hollywood glam of today!

As a Canadian, and a huge fan of Canadian design shows, it's nice to see I am in good company.

Besides Design Inc. and Sarah's House (seasons 1 and 2), I too love Home to Stay and Home to Flip (Peter Fallico's latest series). Pure Design and Style Dept are also quite good. And of course Cityline's Home Day (Thursdays). Here's a link to their Home & Garden resources.

I like Find Your Style.

1. Furniture that normal people of reasonable taste might actually own.
2. Rooms usually vastly improved upon by designer input

I recently watched a hideous Australian "design/renovation" reality show; The Block, I think, which had been dubbed into Spanish. Quite something to watch.

The Block is not the best example of Australian TV, but then it is done by complete novices that don't know design.

I cannot believe that no one has made mention of Grand Designs- which i find as both a builder and designer one of the most inspirational shows out there.

i LOVED find your style, but i dont think its on anymore. i've seen a couple episodes of dear genevieve on hgtv and so far its been okay.

never seen any of the shows lori listed above... what channels are they on?

Is there anyway to watch Sarah's House in the US? I tried watching the videos online, but I got an error message stating that is wasn't available in my country. How is everyone getting to see this show?! I love Sarah Richardson!
