Ryan sent us an email. He says, "Trying to find what this Ikea product is. (The neat light oak colored cabinets with glass doors found on both sides of the table.) I'd hope the AT readers might know! Found the pic on a blog, but the photographer can't recall what the offical Ikea product name is. I'd love to try and get ahold of them. Thanks so much!" -Ryan T.

It's not one product. It's a desk, which they still sell, and 2 cabinets, which I don't thikn they do. THeir desks are sold in pieced: top and legs. THey do sell that top, but maybe not the exact legs. THey have about 20 legs to choose from. The top comes in a bunch of sizes and is around 60 bucks if I recall. I haven't seen the cabinets recently, but I'm sure they sell something like it.
I have the larger entertainment unit of the little side cabinets; can't recall what they are called.
The side cabinets look like it uses the legs from the Klubbo nesting side tables with a box (for lack of better terms) on top.
I'm sure this is something you could put together yourself.
a bit more inspection and that's an effectiv door.

here are the klubbo nesting tables.

I measured our Klubbo side tables and while I can't be positive it seems they used the smallest klubbo side table (it's just shy of 16"x16" square).
I can't figure out the cabinet they used but I'm still looking around the ikea site.
Did you ever think of going to the website sited at the bottom of the picture and asking Matt Jalbert himself?

He gives the info on the components for the table, I'm sure if you emailed him he would be glad to tell you about the tables too. Try it.
I didn't mean that to sound snappish, if it did. I didn't mean to.
As he said, the blogger does not remember the poduct name. The blogger states elsewhere:
"unfortunately, I can't remember the name and I don't think they're even offered any more. It's too bad -- they were one of Ikea's better designs. In addition to the cubes, they also offered a credenza version, three cube units wide."
Whatever it is, it's made poorly, a pain to find, a pain to pay for, and impossible to return.
IKEA: avoid.
...and costs about $40.00. I'm sorry but this IKEA bashing is so predictable and snobbish. For items like that, why pay $250 when you can go to ikea and get the same thing that will last the same amount of time as long as you're not slamming the door shut or sitting on it. I've had an ikea dresser for 10 years, it's been through two major moves and it still looks "danish modern" and functions as a dresser should, i.e. the doors open and shut. I'm hardly advocating furnishing your whole house with IKEA but, frankly, the design you can get at those prices are a borderline miracle. And if it does break after five years, you can go back and get the same thing and still spend about a quarter of what you'd pay for comparable design at dwr or similar.
I agree with Dan :o)
I've had those oak cabinets with glass doors as night tables for almost 5 years and they're holding up great, and I just fell in love with the design. You can see them here and here Unfortunately Ikea doesn't carry them any more AND I don't remember their name. Sorry.
