Good Questions: Where to Find a Leaning Floor Mirror?

031307LineaFloorMirrorWhite.jpgDear AT,

I'm looking for a beautiful old or new leaning floor mirror. I have gone to all the obvious stores like Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn.... any other places to look????

Thanks,
Cynthia

Dear Cynthia,

We found this online shop called Floor Mirrors, which sources mirrors from dozens of stores. The first one we really liked was the Linea white floor mirror (pictured above), which we discovered was a CB2 product. The prices and styles on the Floor Mirrors site vary tremendously, so browse around the 378 (!) items and hopefully you'll find something you love.

Anyone else have a great suggestion for Cynthia?

I got mine at Crate & Barrel several years ago. It's similar to the Loop (link in my name) but has an adjustable easel that can also be folded down if you want to simply lean it against a wall.

Next to ones you already checked and above mentioned CB2 and crate and barrel, you can check: pier1.com, bombaycompany.com, chiasso.com), sleekspaces.com, zgallerie.com etc...

If you are on a tight budget, Ikea has a decent dark wood one for $199 - I know because I own it and I really like it.

Room & Board custom made. Or for more of a vintage mirror, you may want to try Scout on Clark street in Andersonville.

I happened to be at a Costco with a friend of mine recently (had never been) and noticed that they had some really nice huge mirrors for $50. Surprisingly stylish for a warehouse store...

Katie, about how big were the mirrors that you saw at Costco? A friend got one there for a great price a year or two ago, and I've been trying to keep an eye out for the next time they've got such a good deal because what he has is exactly what I'm looking for! It was ~30in across, ~70in tall?

What he has looks like this, but cost $99. http://www.moremirrors.com/MM00564.htm

target.com has some, I've also seen them in Pier 1 Imports, Crate & Barrel and in discount stores like Marshall's (cheap, but can require some searching).
