Help I.D.: Yellow Floor Lamp

2008-06-17-florID.jpgOK. This is the second time in two days that we've seen this yellow floor lamp - which is identical to our own (purchased at an antique shop and without any identifying markings). Can anyone help? Detail shots below the jump:

I saw this exact lamp at Broadway Antique Market and was going to purchase it but the price was a bit steep. I'll bet that's where they found it. There were no designer tags anywhere on the piece so I have no idea who produced this. Anyway I ended up finding a black one for $25 at a different antique shop in the city.

It might be a Robert Sonneman design for George Kovacs Lighting.

Looks like a ball or eyeball lamp, retro style. No idea who made that one.

There are some new ones that are table lamps:

Couple of ball-types here:

And someone at some time wanted one of those tripod lamps. I think.

Eames style here:

Oh man! Who remembers the cat tail lamp?:

I am the only person who starts off looking for ball lamps and ends up here:

It's hard to pin down, not that I know anything about lamps. But there are images here that show similar arm styles or head styles, but the year ranges are 50's, 60's, 70's...

I have this exact same lamp in a desk lamp design. I do not know anything about the maker but I do know it belonged to my mother as a child (born 1958).
