Hans Wegner, designer of gloriously beautiful chairs, passed away yesterday at the age of 92.
"A chair is to have no backside. It should be beautiful from all sides and angles."

thanks for posting this, i hadn't heard. what an inspiring designer he was! i'm glad to hear he had a long life!
I am saddened to hear this.
It is important to note that he saw many of his most important designs back in production during the past few years.
His legacy is a large body of thoughtful and beautiful designs that will continue to inspire and delight us for many years to come.
