Organized for designers and renovators, Ecolect is a website that catalogs sustainable materials. Features include user images and reviews, case studies, and a design blog. Their green criteria? The site has a lot of great content, but in order to be a true library of information, Ecolect will have to up the ante in terms of cataloging. Materials are currently searchable only alphabetically and by date. We'd love to see some easy-to-search categories (like tile, paints, flooring, etc). I know one of th co-founders personally. He is a recent RISD graduate, and as seniors in the industrial design program here we have made sure to keep in contact with him to further our green knowlege. He has assured us that some big new steps are in the works so keep checking back!
