These kits consist of 100% natural ingredients and cover the gamut of needs: for home, body, baby, and pets. We've given cleaning supplies as housewarming gifts before, but this green batch of goodness has everything all wrapped into one and makes for a great gift for yourself or someone else.
Above, home starter kit ($26), including:
- 1 natural fiber storage bag
- 2 spray bottles for mixing spray cleaner and polish
- 1 jar for mixing scrub cleanser
- 1 natural bristle scrub brush
- 1 handy mixer
- 1 microfiber cleaning cloth
- 1 bottle Eco-Me Home Cleaning Essential Oil
- Easy to follow instructions show you how to mix ingredients right from your own kitchen.
Re-nest posted the kits back in January, and as we dug deeper into the Eco-Me site, we really liked the variety of products and tips offered...

It's not a bad idea and it definitely serves it's all in one purpose but I wish the jars were made of glass and the spray bottles from recycled plastic. Really if you wanted to give this to someone as a gift you could make it yourself from mostly found items and it would be that much more green.

I'm pretty sure you can't put essential oils on cats. It causes some sort of organ failure, liver or kidney, as cats can't metabolize essential oils. Their website didn't really say what the cat oil was for, but there was some mention of keeping fleas away. So really, this is dangerous.

I'm not so thrilled with these. I saw the kits on display at an eco-fair and everything was made out of very thin, flimsy plastic, no better than cheapo non-green cleaning product containers out there.

I bought an Eco-Me Home Kit at a Green Expo and love it. The plastic doesn't feel thin at all, it's actually PET1, which is a good plastic if you have to use plastic.
Love the fact that the containers are re-usable and that the company supplies refills, so you don't have to keep buying plastic cleaning products month.
We estimate saving anywhere from $10-20 in cleaning supplies a month by using our Eco-Me Kit.
I guess I could make it myself, but I love the containers, the essential oil blends are awesome and the stuff really works.
Anyway, we love it in our house and send everyone we know to the site to pick up a kit.
Great housewarming gift idea too! Way more interesting than the regular bottle of wine and pretty much the same price.
