Chroma is an environmentally friendly, non-toxic, low voc, highly durable polymer panel that is recyclable. It can even be re-colored and re-surfaced after wear to like-new condition.
It looks so modern, so high-tech, so UN-green, yet it is.

The material is a solid surface available in 1 or 2 inch thicknesses, and it looks substantial even though its color is translucent. The images on the 3form site show it being used mainly as an interior surface; for tabletops, countertops, bars, etc., but says that it is also usable for exterior applications.
We'd love to see it used as a room divider - it would look amazing in a vertical application in a sunny room.
More info is available at 3form.

Gorgeous, but how much is it? Where can I buy it?
Rachel,
You prolly scoured the webpage, as I did, but all I could find was this. They are the Sales Reps for this area.

very very cool. definitely thinking of getting some samples or buying a reclaimed piece for a future project.
I looked at their webpg, but there is no info on scratch/stain resistance. It's meant to be easily recolored/reused, so I'm guessing that the scratch/stain resistance isn't terribly high. Since the color is only 250um deep, I'm guessing that it'll look quite worn in a couple of years.
hi everyone:
I just checked with Greenmaker Supply here in Chicago and they carry the 3form products. They recommended the "Varia" line as being even more eco-friendly than Chroma, but could look into ordering Chroma as well.
I spoke to John. The phone number is 773.384.7500.
and their site is www.greenmakersupply.com.
I work at a green residential architecture firm here in Chicago. We use this product all the time, and it's great. The company has various types of products and makes their own connection details that are designed really well. The are tons of colors and patterns to choose from. We've used them as room dividers, windows (interior and exterior), shower enclosures, doors, backsplashes, etc. It can get a bit expensive, but worth it for a nice detail.
Ive used the varia panel. It was 800 bucks. plus shipping. nice, but there are likely other ways to get a similar look.
