As of this Spring, most of their upholstered hardwood frames across their collections will be made from certified sustainable wood at no extra charge. When a retailer/manufacturer this large makes a move in the right direction it is good news.
All the info on this welcome update and their 100% organic bed linens will be included in the new catalog out this week, February 28 (which will be viewable in a paperless format online-no need to get a paper copy).
bully for them. I am very pleased with this. I believe my sceptical comment when lockport launched was along the lines of "if you can do this one green, what about the rest of the furniture you make". Another step in the right direction indeed.

I just got this catalog today and I'm in love with that sofa.

FYI, much of the C&B furniture has come from Mitchell Gold over the years, and they were eco before eco was chic. Just sayin'.

Just received the catalog yesterday. Love the sofa, especially the linen cover. There's something so pleasing about how it's simplicity and clean lines. Did I mention I love the linen?

I believe their eco line is by Lee Industries. Some of the pieces were designed by architect Bobby McAlpin, very similar to John Saladino pieces. Lee is a great company with a great product.

I just saw that sofa in person at the C&B store... love it. Now I just need a beach house with a sunporch to put it in.... sigh.
