Among Chicagoans' recommended stores list for Domino editor Rita Konig was Greenheart, "Chicago's first eco-fair trade store."
So far, the eco-shop does not sell their goods online, but that will soon change. Above, a sampling of their products; click below for a glimpse at Greenheart's mission:
At Greenheart, we provide fun, unique and contemporary products that you can feel good about buying. In choosing products, we are mindful of the entire production process: the resources used to make them, the wages paid to the workers, and the overall environmental and social impact. Greenheart carries a variety of goods including recycled accessories and handbags, home goods, gourmet treats, cook books, glassware, jewelry, travel gear, personal care, organic t-shirts and more.
Sounds like an Oxfam shop. Great!

I was walking past here one day and popped in out of curiosity. They have decent free trade coffee, african chocolate, a variety of soaps and plenty of home decor items (trays, bowls, baskets, etc.).... I bought a few peices of their homemade african paper, which would be great for wrapping presents, but I used it as the backdrop inside some picture frames I had.
Most everything is of great value. Highly recommend it.
