That is pretty sweet-looking (the countertop, that is. Everything else in the kitchen looks a little shoddy, and that color is pretty much the only one that is tolerable in my opinion.)

Did you see this is the countertop from Ed Begley Jr.'s kitchen remodel? It was featured on the green-themed HGTV show Living with Ed.
bdf - check it out! The second pic looks like they haven't quite completed the project yet.

Does anyone know any general price info? I've been wanting to use recycled countertops for a project but have not had much luck finding out without having to send away for brochures.
Thanks!

Becky, Meg. B.'s link takes you to Vetrazzo. They manufacture the countertops and the aggregates. I remember the prices being comparable to granite but I think freight, from CA, will raise the price quite a bit but you can call them directly to find out.

We actually got a small round counter-top from them about 5 years ago, and had it shipped to Wisconsin. The shipping was expensive, but they may have improved that since then. We were able to compose our color mix on line. The product is beautiful and we love it; people always comment on it. It's a little like having some kind of fossil slab as a counter top.
