The homes are a collaboration between Dwell, architect Joel Turkel, Marmol Radziner Prefab and Lindal Cedar. The new homes feature natural materials, are designed for sustainability and will be available in 6 standardized configurations which can be customized by the homeowners.

Fantastic. And fantastically out of reach for me. Starting at $500k for 1755sq ft, plus land, analysis and prep, plumbing...

Marmol Radziner ROCKS! What's half a million for something that looks like a million bucks?

I am a prefab fan and a huge fan of Radziner. BUT, wouldn't it be great if they designed beautiful and affordable prefab housing?

Prefab means they can rip you off even more. Apparently.

I agree with the previous commentators, too expensive.
Also, what is the point of advocating sustainability if it is out reach for the masses? I understand receiving quality pay for quality work, but really how many folks can truly afford it?
