As Midwesterners, we've seen a lot of dilapidated barns in our lifetime. Although we'd love to see them all restored, we know that's not realistic and we're glad that when they do get demolished, some people are making good use of the wreckage. We have a local restaurant that is built out reclaimed wood and grows their own veggies....www.ffgrill.com. My father-in-law built his while house out of reclaimed wood-too bad I have no photos of it.
