Recycled Color: Projects by Ontwerpduo

We often think of recycled products as fairly colorless: browns, greens, and grays come to mind. Designers Nathan Wierink and Tineke Beunders of Ontwerpduo disprove that assumption, finding color in everything from old blankets to phone wires...

Based in the Netherlands, the design duo has this to say about their work: "From our studio in Eindhoven, we try to do the whole design process ourselves. From the idea until the finished product. In this way, we keep the production small and personal. Tineke is working mostly from her memories as a child. These memories are vague but give a very clear feeling and ambiance. This she is using later in her designs. Nathan is working more from physical laws and scientific studies. This knowledge he uses in his designs." For more information, click here.
