Recycled Moving Blanket at The Container Store

20080819blanket1.jpgWe like this moving blanket from The Container Store for a few simple reasons: it's not expensive and it's made of recycled materials. Jump down to discover its mystery material and its small price tag...

The Multi-Purpose Moving Blanket is made of 100% recycled textile materials and costs only $12.99. After the big move, we think it'd make one fine drop cloth when you start all your painting!

Hm...interesting.
This would be great to use as batting for a car quilt. Just cover it in two top sheets, sew around the edges, tie it off and throw it in the trunk for emergencies or picnics.

i'd use it to make a dog bed. sew a few seams and stuff it with fluff, and you're all set!

If you don't see the possibilities of using this to "slipcover" an ugly sofa, you've never been stuck decorating on a tight budget. This looks so much more interesting that the canvas drop cloths I've used in the past.
