Clockwise from top left:
These come in 27" and 36" square sheets and should be installed, according to the Bamboo Fencer "with a non-staining wallpaper paste made for grass wallpapers. Regular wallpaper pastes will cause blotchy stains. Grass wallpaper paste is clear when mixed with water, rather than white, and is inexpensive and available in all wallpaper stores."

ok i really want the grasscloth wallpaper look!
QUESTION! if u were gonna use this type of wall treatment, but only on half of the wall (and paint the other half), which half of the wall would u use it on? the top half above the chair rail or the bottom half below the chair rail?

We had this in my childhood home in the early 80s...along with matching brown carpet and a terry-cloth-esque brown couch. Very, uuhhmmm, early 80s late 70s, and not in a good way.
Not to say it couldn't work in a good way, but I just don't think I could detach from memories of that very dated living-room.

SD913 I rep wallcoverings just like these in many colors and have seen them used both ways. I think it depends on whether you would like to see more texture or color on the larger half of the wall or not. Below the chair rail it creates a wainscot and above it is more traditionally a wall treatment. If used in high traffic areas be warned below the chair rail can get dirty, even though a little dove soapy water can clean most wallcoverings but some marks are harder to get out.
These grasscloth can look very chic.

I just ordered a bunch of sample from homedepot online. (prices are much better than this stuff)
I am all about this look..I don't know why I am loving it so much. I think it was ever since I noticed is in some of the offices on MadMen (what a beautifully proppeed show)
anyone ever have issues with the seams? I hear some people but wood strip over the seams to hide them.

Hunh. I have been getting more into bamboo (used it to enclose my air conditioner) and I am interested in the wallcovering for my den. Just checked Home Depot and found that some styles were indeed cheaper but some were quite expensive. Actually, it was pretty comparable. It just depends on what style you pick.
As for me, I guess I prefer supporting the independents - especially if price is equal.
Bamboo Fencer site mentioned above seemed to have gone through a renovation.
