L.L. Bean asks, "Is it wrong to love a doormat?" Don't think so. If you're reading Apartment Therapy, chances are that you're the type of person that loves something in your home that others find neutral, unimportant, or totally unlovable. An antique, sure. A favorite blanket, of course. But a doormat? Certain cleaning supplies? A storage container? Might sound boring to some folks, but we absolutely understand.

We're actually in the market for doormats for our front and back doors. (Yuck, winter.) I like (not love) the first monogrammed one, but it seems pricey for something that is going to sit on the floor and hold dirty, wet boots.
Anyone see any great budget-friendly options recently?

Ikea -- $25 for a large indoor/outdoor rug that can be hosed off. Is working well at our front door (in suburban Chicago -- lots of slush from many pairs of snow boots).
