After tallying up the votes last Friday morning from our six fabulous entries (see them all here) we narrowed the field to our three finalists.
Erin, Kathy and Marjorie all garnered the most "The Greenest!" votes in the first round - now we'd like you to pick the gardener with the Greenest Thumbs of all!
Voting was closed at 5pm central time 7.5.06 , final results are shown. Thanks to all who voted!

Sad (for me) but true: as the votes reflect, plants in containers just don't compare to those in the ground- hard to come by for many of us. Between these 3 it's hard to decide!
Marjorie is in the city, so I'm biased towards her, it seems it would be harder to garden here even if you have the space.
Erin's is just beautiful and lush: love the tall flowers and that you don't mow your grass too close.
Kathy's is truly an all-out garden as opposed to a backyard flowerbed, with pathways and landscaping.
I'm jealous of all of you and your thumbs! At least the majority of us apartment-dwellers have public parks and gardens to enjoy. (Thanks, Mayor Daley.)
I loved all the gardens, but I think that the entries should have all been from apartment dwellers as this is Apartment Therapy Dot Com.
We all would love to have a backyard with a sprawling garden near the river, but as apartment dwellers we have the challange of creating a bit of green in a concrete jungle.....I thought that was what we were trying to inspire and feature.
thanks for your comments, walter. just a general reminder though, that we opened up the contest to gardens outside our chicago boundaries (since we had so many interested, widespread readers!)
our only guidelines were that people entered their own gardens and that they be under 600 sq/ft.
apartments are key on apartment therapy, but we do stretch out to include condos, co-ops, dorm rooms, townhomes, houses, cabins, pre-fab, etc. there's just so much out there to see and discuss!
