Carlisle Wide Plank Floors

20080407plank6.jpg20080407plank9.jpgWe are in awe of these floors! Farmhouse chic thrives at Carlisle but we've also never seen wide-planked flooring look so modern and fresh. Yet in green terms, this flooring is the furthest thing from new...

20080407plank18.jpgSome Carlisle products are made from old growth wood, while others are made of "antique" wood. The antique lumber is reclaimed from structures slated for demolition, like the weathered siding from old barns. Other flooring is made of Forest Stewardship Council certified wood.

Carlisle isn't just a one-trick pony. Besides the gorgeous wide-planks, they offer patterned flooring and special treatments, like hand-scraping and a customized "footworn" look.

20080407plank17.jpgBased in New Hampshire, Carlisle will deliver flooring (and special projects like the ceiling seen above!) just about anywhere but, lucky for us, they just opened up a showroom in Chicago.

I just installed Carlisle floors in my NYC apartment and I LOVE THEM. I got 10" wide pine planks and I get so many amazing comments from my neighbors about how they came out. Working with Carlisle was so easy -- my sales rep was Shanon. Even after my contractor almost destroyed my new floorboards (I can't explain -- too painful), Carlisle was there to help me fix them. They even made recommendations on NYC-based "Carlisle floor experts."

cblls- Wow, you're on the ball. I'm so happy that I helped you find this company and I'm even more pleased that your experience with Carlisle has been positive. Don't hesitate to send us another review (and photos) when your floors are finally installed.

LoveThatLulu- Again, another positive review that makes me look around my apartment and wonder if it's time for new floors...Thanks for the feedback.

jellyknits- Do it.

It is great to hear so many wonderful comments on our floors. I work at the new design center in Chicago and we are thrilled to be here. Now everyone in town can view our gorgeous floors in person. I hope to see you soon!
