2008 Pritzker Prize Winner Announced: Jean Nouvel

Last year he completed the 40 Mercer, a Soho apartment building (shown above) and currently he is working on the amazing Abu Dhabi branch of the Louvre. they did a piece about this on npr yesterday. seems like a very interesting guy. very polarizing too. you either love him or hate him it seems....

I'm biased, but the Guthrie is amazing. Same with the Arab Institute. Each square is like a camera, with an aperature that changes throughout the day as the light changes.
