Vintage magazines are a great source for both inspiration and sometimes a laugh. We tend to scour for them at yard sales, estate sales, and thrift stores, but eBay is a great source, too. Often the selection has been adored and well-preserved by the owner and comes from a larger collection for extra bidding potential.

i collect these...and have a 1941 Better Homes and Gardens in my coffee table...it is the one from IKEA that has a drawer under a glass top for displaying things....it is fabulous and everyone that comes over loves to look at all the cool vintage stuff i've found to put in it!
