Leonard Cohen's Childhood Home

0122_cohen2.jpg

leonardcohenpic012209.jpg"My oldest son is sleeping in Leonard Cohen's bed." Leonard Cohen's boyhood home is here in Montreal, in the Westmount neighborhood. He and his sister owned the home up until the late 1990's, when it was sold along with two-thirds of its contents. The new homeowner points out that Leonard Cohen's boyhood bed is now that of her son. The photo above shows the home and the view from Cohen's childhood bedroom, looking out over King George VI Park.

Other items included in the sale of the home: a dining room set, the family's bedroom furniture, a tennis racquet, baseball glove, a guitar, and a platinum album(!).
