Louis Sullivan at 150

2006-08-04-louis.jpg Architecture fans, get ready: a six week celebration of the famed architect's birth will be held throughout Chicago this fall.

The Chicago History Museum has set up a website to detail the citywide sesquicentennial celebration beginning on the 150th anniversary of Sullivan's birth, September 3, and culminating with an international symposium at the Museum, October 13-15.

The schedule of public programming includes 50 events over 29 days.

Tours include the Charnley-Persky House, loop walking tours entitled "Louis Sullivan: Lost and Found" and the Auditorium Theatre.

The Chicago History Museum site is the central listing for the tours, lectures, classes and the symposium.
