apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Home and Garden Roundup: 07.22.07

2007-07-23-oldsofa.jpgThe Tribune site has a new look this week - and Sunday's lead story was about giving a sofa a new look through low priced (under $100) slipcovers.

They chose three and gave them all a go, rating them on ease of donning and overall appearance. It's not a route we choose if we had any other options, but we applaud the decision to reuse instead of buying new and if reupholstery is out of the budget for the time being, this will buy some time while you save up for the bigger project.

I wish the Tribune showed pictures of those slipcovers for those of us who live out of the city. I am curious about those stretch-to-fit covers.
