Karen Klages covers the show in Milan, 2007's Internazionale del Mobile. Her buzzwords: "organic shapes and themes. Femininity. Elegance. Silver and gold metallics... And interesting beds..." like Patricia Urquiola's Lazy Night bed (above) for B&B Italia.

According to Karen's coverage, "expressive design was the biggest news coming out of this year’s show". Murray Moss is quoted as discussing "...a kind of "neo-expressive direction," referring to the lack of "decoration and narrative" in objects since the late 1920s and the hold that the machine age has had on the design world for the last 70 years or so". Check out the extended special section here for more details.
