Not. This is the kind of item, that might look good for about a minute after it gets installed, and immediately goes into tacky mode for the rest of its existence.

It reminds me too much of those cardboard hearts that valentine's chocolates come in. It's just...bleh. Commercially contrived.

Hideous.

Maybe if the faucet had been left alone without that weird diamond pattern on the sides...no, nevermind. It's just tacky.

Huh?
It's not laser-carved from a solid block of Lalique crystal?

Marcel Wanders is one of those designers that comes around every century. He makes impact with his unusual and original work. In this modern age design has become more sustainable but it is someone like Wanders who reminds us that there are still new things to come.
Like Philippe Starck, not everything they make is functional or timeless but what needs to be considered is the originality of each piece and what it does to move the design world forward in an intelligent and thought provoking evolution.
Is this piece for everyone? Probably not. But have you ever seen anything like it before and is the quality of the piece not remarkable? Where could one little faucet take us all in the world of design?
It is in things like this that I can say that Marcel Wanders' original ideas can help to change the way we all think and dream. Imagine what the world would look like with out Edison and his original mind. Surely that alone should be a basis for anyone who partakes in the design world.

A gaudy bath fixture will help change the way we think and dream?

As contrived conceptual household items go, it's really not that bad.

I could see Lovey and Thurston Howell III having one of these.

This would work in the right bathroom.
