I read an architect's interview one day, he said something like, technology and architecture are the complete opposites of nature. When you paint a huge bridge the color green to try to conceal it, you're destroying it's true nature. I imagine the same would apply to things such as cellphones and tvs, they're made to be un-natural, to be super-natural. You're not only cheapening the final product, but even worse, it looks like it was made by grandpa in the late 70s. Yuck.
If there was a choice for "Odd" I would select that.

This reminds me of the "wooden" microwave ovens and clock radios of the 70s and 80s. Because we all know that's how they were made in the olden days of yore.
