Only hot if it was a real bar of gold. Faux ostentation is worse than faux Tuscan -- on par with faux country and faux vintage.

Faux ostentation of that magnitude--you can't possibly expect people to think it real--can hardly be compared with furniture you're trying to pass off as vintage.

They really should sell these for $9.99 at Urban Outfitters. I'd use it as a paperweight at work.
