Lovely but not practical especially if there is a male in the picture. All I keep imagining is the difficulty of cleaning shaved hair and toothpaste out of the groove...

Some friends of mine have a faucet like this in their guest bath. It just doesn't seem like the water would be as sanitary after flowing over an exposed fixture like this. Ok for washing hands I suppose, but I wouldn't want to drink from it.

They look like little urinals.

Rocks in sinks is something I've become fond of. Has anyone tried it? I would like to put black riverrocks in the sink of my powder room.

There's something nasty about rocks in sinks. After all, you wash the crap off of your hands, do you really want it sitting around on all of the surfaces of the rocks? Seems to me they;d just collect grime. Yuck.

I think they look very nice. And if you have a guest bathroom where you just wash your hands I think it is fine. You just should change the stones every now and then, because cleaning them seems like a weekend project. Although now that I am thinking .... you can put white stones in a bucket of clorex and water that will do the job.

I would love seeing something like this in a restaurant or any public place - I like those faucets a lot, there's something very Mediterranean about that lavatory.

I liked the rocks until I read sarahlily's post and now I am scarred for life about rocks as part of a sink.

I can only think of germs when I see the rocks....

I hear people comment a lot on the sanitariness of rocks in the sink. You touch random door handles everyday, how sanitary can those be? how often do you clean your keyboards on your computers? At work? etc. Do you know that when you flush the toilet the particles from the waste is probably all over your bathroom, and you can't see it? Point, there will always be germs, if it's not your thing then fine but I don't think any bathroom with rocks should automatically be thought as to have tons of germs, they're everywhere.

I like the look of rocks in sinks, although I haven't done it yet, I plan to. I think it adds a nice touch.

Err, aren't the rocks merely for display? I don't think you'd install it with 3 faucets in a row either, they're just trying to pretty up the product. As for the faucet itself, I would never have it in my own home, but I can see some attractive applications of it. Particularly in guest/hall bathrooms where sinks are mostly just used for washing your hands.

I'm sure you could just get the faucet without the rocks. I think the faucet (sans rocks in the sink) would be great for a guest bath!

Obviously rocks in any sink that gets used are going to get dirty, and who wants to wash rocks?

I think the question is meant to be about the patterned china spigots, which are hideous IMO - like monstrously deformed teacups. But I can see people who like ornamented everything going for these.

The whole get-up is sort of Post-Victorian (and not in a good way).

Like the faucets (although I think would is enough, three is too much), but hate the rocks.

We had one of these faucets in our beach house. It was plain white, unlike these, and I loved it. Having the water roll out and on to my hands was quieter and much more relaxing than having pressurized water shooting down.

too prissy and precious, and a hiding place for dirt, hair and germs. also breakable. what is the point? two thumbs down.

The rocks are disgusting but the hardware make my inner Victorian swoon.
