Cardboard is not for use with art you want to keep around for generations to come. It is not acid-free and will make images, especially colour photographs, deteriorate rapidly.

If it is for art, then I don't think you'd put it in a cardboard frame anyways...

I'm in between because I LOVE THE IDEA, but I think at the end I'd finally hate the results. I think this is perfect for snapshots from digital cameras, home-printed and meant to be displayed seasonally or maybe just for a day or two. Anything more "durable" would be for nicer, professional photographs that'll be displayed for years.
