I don't even have room on my kitchen counters for a coffee pot, so an appliance devoted to hot dogs? out of the question.
And JV, I second your "huh?"

This is my favorite item from the Skymall catalog. I think the first time I saw I couldn't stop giggling. Truly redonkulous!

I'm amazed people actually have the space to keep this kind of thing. What a waste.

Is this for real? And not a photoshop exercise? It really needs a Popeil brother behind it.

I say if you have the money to totally throw away on hot dog cooking accessories...DO IT!

No worse than the combo toaster/egg coddler, or the rotating countertop pizza cooker, or the combo microwave/toaster, or the.....Americans are never at a loss for useless appliances.

I am with you hdtex! Heather, as a Chicagoan, you could have at least mentioned *Chicago style* hot dogs. :)

the countertop pizza cooker rules. my last roommate had one and it cut down hugely on time. no preheating of the oven, quicker cook time, and deliciously browned cheese and crust. mmm, frozen pizza.

I am afraid, very afraid....

What is wrong with a pot of boiling water? Or, wet paper towels and a microwave?

Fanny... blushing furiously here, but on the rare occasion I do make hot dogs, I toast the buns. Either in the toaster/oven for just a couple, or the regular oven if I'm feeding hoards of teenagers.

My 20 year old son would love this.
