I think it's funney, the idea is really good, but I think technically it could have been made bette : i.e. the backrest should be bent as well, and all wrinkled like the seat, not "cut in half" like here.
Sheesh! What the fffamily? I thought the duplicates were a rumor or periodic mirage. This is minorly depressing. Don't the AT staff read the site at least as much as their daily readers?

Classic example of that old truism: just because you can build something, doesn't mean that you should. On the other hand, it would make a wonderful piece in an Alice-in-Wonderland themed space. Maybe for a little girl. Or a little boy with a lot of confidence.

Functional and makes me smile - to me, that's hot. And I didn't see the earlier post, so while I know duplicate posts can be annoying, I'm glad this was brought up again.

As far as the double, triple and quadruple postings are concerned, I suppose the AT editorsâ argument is that each city-blog is somewhat independent from each other.
I believe that most people check the main website which blends all of the cities together. It would be wise for the editors to double-check postings and at least make the effort not to repeat within a certain time frame. Repeating something only a few days after another city has posted it just makes us readers think that the editors are lazy or at least lacking a sense of diligence that we hope is invested in such an otherwise strong website.

I want one for the airlock in my o, so stylishly decorated spaceship. So when I have to switch the gravity orientation by 90 degrees to dock at the space station, there's no need to move the furniture!

It's more and more evident that they want you to pick a city or all four and not consider Apartment Therapy to be one site. Five pages worth of four cities' new posts. If you don't pick a city, you can't find your posts from yesterday or earlier the same day without using the search. The problem lies within the fact that most of the posts aren't that special.
I think a good idea would be to Hot or Not some of the hired bloggers, because some are really sharp at what they've been asked to do, but some just consistently bring us garbage. That's how I feel, personally, but the comments section always seems to spell it out from many other voices. I read something when I first started posting, from another blog, that the person no longer felt AT had the flavor it originally had for them, and I feel the same way now. I don't think AT has changed much, but I've been looking at it for about 4 months and been hanging on that last month, hoping for something I haven't seen yet. My posts are more and more negative and people have called me out on it. I've seen what there is to see, apparently. Growing larger might seem like a success on the inside, but it's just a lot thinner of content to me.
Lack of concern from any given poster that they've somehow overlooked something a lot of us have recently read (and massively hated, quite often) seems poor-ass. Can we have something in between outrageously expensive garbage and DIY summer camp projects? Can we have something more than the same awful thing 2-4 bloggers "researched" for pay on someone else's blog? It seems "to be unique," some bloggers take that to mean to find the sick and weird; while some like to make waves, it's not necessarily good design. They want to make a stir, and they don't care about design.
I have not begun to scratch the surface of retail establishment-heavy this site is - you favor certain shops and everyone seems to know their ubiquitous lines. I mean, a store isn't a topic. A catalog is something we could look at without your paying a blogger to tell us what is in the catalog or on the shop's website.
A seemingly inordinate number of posters think that by buying something pretty, being organized will become easier. That's simply not true. Being organized and pretty is all nice, but I wish they would stop promoting this idea. Buying more stuff doesn't make you get up and keep your closet clean or make dishes more fun to wash, etc. Please look at your mission again. It's not just a matter of repetition, it's a matter of quality and what kind of quality Apartment Therapy as a BRAND wants to represent, and why it doesn't seem to care about quality, as long as it's larger than just one blog.

This sofa is exposed in an exhibit of contemporary art. Let's not confuse things: it's made for a GALLERY space, not an apartment (save that of a rich amateur). It quite obviously isn't supposed to be "design" or even made to sit on as useful furniture, it's "art", made to make us look at ordinary objects differently and to change from daily life, it carries an idea, not an actual function.
This is the kind of thing that I would prefer to have along with one exactly like it that was normal to have right next to it.
