Phew! False alarm on the dupe post! I'd say legos can be hot but I don't know how much space they fill. The Sears Tower is not my fave.

I thought Legos were supposed to open up the imagination of the user, so doesn't this kinda defeat the purpose?

Awesome. The mini-land at Legoland was my favorite part where they recreate cities. That would be awesome if they had recreations of famous architectural structures available as sets. They could make Frank Lloyd Wright houses or the Brady Bunch house!

hejiranyc,
I totally agree. Do people really need a kit and instructions on how to stack blocks?

Expensive for such an basic set, but I do like the idea.
Id be pretty happy if someone gave me a lego set as a souvenir instead of the standard snow globe or resin statue of the same building.

I like the clean modern look of these legos---I like to build modern home designs and can use these along with other things like glass blocks and smooth finished wood blocks. I build them for the fun and then just take them apart a week latter. Always wanted to be a home designer (modern of course).

This is great. Who cares if it is basic. What a cool idea for sets that lets kids build and learn about great architecture.
Even better when you can take him or her to see these structures in person and hear them say,"wow," followed by, "I built that!

Loved building lego cities as a kid... hated the kits. My parents bought a huge amount of legos for cheap from a classified ad (pre-Craigslist) and we could create just about anything.

lol, I thought it was a lego set that you could make into a Sears brand vacuum cleaner. I clicked the "jump" to see if it actually worked.
I must be more tired than I thought!

I love legos but, this set is way too basic. It could be a lot more creative.

I could go for a Philip Johnson Glass House or a Gehry building. Too good for the kids, I would buy this for myself.

My soon-to-be-7-year-old nephew is crazy about the Sears Tower AND Legos ... perfect gift! It says ages 10 but it only has 68 pieces?

If you think that's too boring/simple for Lego - Try this one:
