Carlo Rossi's Jug Simple

2007-07-21-chardonnay.png B.Y.O.B. D.I.Y.!

For those of you who love wine almost as much as you love decor - a website that asks the question, "Carlo Rossi - purveyor of good wine or interior decorator?"

On the site you'll find photos, "how-to" videos, and full diy instructions to create your own: Chardonnay chandelier (left), cabernet couch, sangria sound system, burgundy bookshelf, rhine reading lamp (my favorite, below the jump) or the paisano plasma stand.

Drink the wine, build the furniture...

We think the site is cute, silly and worth a look. The interface, graphics and videos really work well. It's some serious design for a not-very-serious way to sell wine. (via treehugger!)

"Drink the wine, build the furniture..."

I think I would add some sort of waiting period in there.

Ah Carlo Rossi!! Brings back memories from when I was a kid and that was my parents wine of choice! On Italian night, one of my brothers or myself were instructed to go down to the basement and lug up that huge gallon of wine.

That Chardonnay Chandelier is nice lookin'! I first saw this idea in Ready Made (but with wine glasses) but their end result looked a little sloppy. This one is much cleaner. Although, I think the little teardrop jug at the point is a bit too much. But, overall, what a fun site! Thanks!

In the timeless battle of fun vs. pragmatism, pragmatism wins this time. fun idea, but cleaning that chandelier would be a bitch.

I could have sworn that said,
"Drink the wine, build the future"
That works, too...
