I love framed fabric though a few years ago it was over-done and seemed like a fad. It looks fresh again, though.

I like framing vintage scarves. We have some large square tourist scarves from the 50's of Hawaii and Florida that look great!

I think there was a poster on the wardrobe remix flickr pool who did this with a large collection of vintage embroidered handkerchiefs, and it was gorgeous. I wish I could remember her name or something to find the link!!!!! I'm thinking of dong the same out of the cutest cream colored scarf with a teeny allover print of greyhounds in mainly oranges, browns, and greens.
