How To: Make a Felt Mobile
Lupin

Laura (aka Lupin) lives in England and makes felt crafts, which she sells online through an Etsy shop. She also has a blog, Bugs and Fishes, where she generously gives tutorials on how to make the types of things she sells. We really like her handmade felt mobiles, constructed from circles and other simple shapes. On the blog, Laura provides step-by-step instructions if you want to make your own...

Laura's tutorial teaches you how to make this butterfly mobile, but the steps could be easily adapted to make mobiles from other shapes.

Laura constructs her own custom felt mobiles from layers of scrap felt that she sews together into abstract shapes.

Yarn or ribbon is used to string the shapes along a line, then hang them from the ceiling or line them up along a window.

These layered/stitched felt circles have hit the Barcelona craft scene in a MAJOR way. They are on hairclips, brooches, hangbags, t-shirts everything!

Very cute, but too time consuming and tedious for me to do.
